Moirang Phi - Fiery

  • Rs. 6,900.00

If you thought the North East was famous only for tea, think again!

Delicarely woven jamdani weaves on cotton, the saree is starched for a stiff finish - very similar to the Bengal Dhonekali weaves. The starch helps the saree stay in shape after repeated unfolding for viewing. Typically in white and pastel shades these sarees are woven by the Manipur Handloom cluster - again mostly by women weavers.

These light as a cloud sarees come with a temple border and weaves in contrast colours! If you don't have one still, now is the time to get them!

Phi means cloth and Moirang is the place!

No Blouse length in the saree. The saree is 45 inches in height and may not be suitable for people over 5'5" in height.

Please allow for a slight variation in colour due to digital photography.
